*As we bring the Slabbed Sensory Sets project to a close, I want to thank everybody who has donated to this mission and made it possible to distribute so many boxes to people who have really benefited from them. Although I am wrapping up this chapter of Slabbed, I still have enough materials to make a few boxes. Our Goal
Here at Slabbed Clay Co we believe that stimming is so important for autistics and everybody. Not only is creating sensory boxes helping actually autistic people, it is showing them that safe stimming is okay, and actually should be encouraged. Our goal is to raise money to put together sensory boxes for autistic children, teens, and adults in the community.

What is a sensory box?
A sensory box is a kit that includes a variety of fidget/stim toys. Stim toys are especially helpful for autistics because it can help them self regulate when feeling strong emotions in an overstimulating or understimulating environment.

What is stimming?
Stimming stands for Self Stimulatory Behavior. It is often presented as repetitive movements or movements of objects, however stimming can be tactile, auditory, visual, olfactory (smell), vestibular (jumping, rocking, spinning), proprioceptive (deep pressure), or a combination of any of those! Stim toys assist in the act of stimming and provide autistic people with a sense of comfort and relaxation.
How much of your proceeds go to making the sets?
From any donations whether by GoFundMe, cash, venmo, paypal, amazon wishlist, etc, 100% goes towards the sensory boxes.
